Showing custom vision tools in controller data, and using a single job file to inspect multiple parts.
Industries are increasingly turning to vision to inspect their products and meet industry requirements. Cognex’s industrial barcode readers and machine vision systems address these concerns head-on by delivering the industry’s highest read rates, superior quality and assembly inspections, and supply chain protection. Cognex technology reads, inspects, and authenticates products at the unit and package level, easily exchanging security data with third party software and hardware systems to verify the safe and accurate movement of products.
This month we will be reviewing how to customize barcode data being pushed to a controller, and to show the process of doing multiple inspections with one job file.
Using a DataMan 8072ER barcode reader, we will show the process of a customized “noread” string, show a modified/concatenated string, and insert a script to modify data.
Using the InSight 9912, we will use HDR to read some OCR text and put tools into USERDATA tags. We will also show the USERDATA values in the controller and show how to sort multiple parts and perform a pass/fail inspection of these parts, using one job and USERDATA tags.
